Brooke Anne Makowiec was a beloved and gifted young member of our community who was killed in an automobile accident on December 9th, 2005 on her way to college.
Brooke was a talented softball player and catcher for the Addison High School Girls Varsity team. In 2005 Brooke helped her team win the Section V championship. At the time of her death, she was catching for the Finger Lakes Community College, where she was pursuing a degree in Communications. Her career goal was to be an ESPN sports commentator.
All proceeds from the softball tournament will benefit the Brooke Makowiec Scholarship Fund which was established in order to assist Addison High School graduates in continuing their education.
